Pale pink with aromas of rose petals, strawberries, and cherries. Dry and vibrant with a creamy texture, fresh acidity, and a crisp, refreshing finish.
Fruit was gently pressed on arrival to the winery and cool fermented in stainless steel to maintain its fresh flavour. Pressing was very gentle to avoid the pickup of too much colour from the skins. A smaller portion (12%) was fermented in old French oak puncheons to add extra texture and complexity to the wine. The wine was aged on light lees then blended and bottled.
The 2025 season started early with warm spring weather, promoting strong canopy growth and excellent flowering, resulting in high crop levels across all varieties. Te Kairanga vineyards were well protected from spring frosts. Cool, wet conditions from mid-December to late January tempered the early heat.
Ripening was steady, with generally favorable weather and no major rain events. Harvest began early and extended over 6.5 weeks. Despite disease and weather pressures, most fruit reached full ripeness before picking
