The 2022 Home Block Pinot Noir is juicy and bright, with supple tannins in the mouth that accentuate the cherry, licorice, raspberry fruit and garden roses. A smattering of sumac spice and dark chocolate complete the spectrum, with fine acidity that is woven through the wine. this is nicely done. And it is in a lighter-weight bottle than the 2021 vintage—the glass doth not maketh the wine. Great work. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
Complex red fruits, with lifted florals and savoury, meaty notes. Fine dense structure, with crunchy red fruits and savoury, earthy, meaty undertones. A young wine with elegance, but density of fruit, quite compact and long. It is sure to age gracefully.
